H. Hoogerbrugge is a European Flash artist whom I know nothing about. I ran into his site, Modern Living / Neurotica Series, a while back and its lingered in my bookmarks folder ever since. The interactive animations consist (almost) entirely of, what I can assume to be, himself experimenting with what Flash animation is capable of. He also has a portfolio site, which has much more intriguingly narcissistic work.
Unfortunately, I know nothing about the mind(s) behind Oculart.com but you should really check this site out. It’s full of really cool flash animation, but not the kind you’re thinking of. A colleague directed me to this site and it will blow your mind. Best viewed at 2 in the morning with all of the lights out and the volume up. Be patient with loading times–there’s usually a line or a row of lines that moves across the screen to indicate that. Sweet dreams!
